An awesome indie mind-bender that asks big questions
An indie flick made in Nashville, TN, I was really impressed with THE NOTHING. Good production values and great acting for a non-hollywood production.
The story plays out a lot like a really great, feature length episode of THE TWILIGHT ZONE, or like it came out of the mind of Hitchcock or LOST writers or something. A bunch of strangers wake up in a spooky old barn and then discover the entire world outside has either disappeared, or they have been sucked into another dimension or something, and it gets even stranger and more interesting from there.
I like it because it has a twisty, turning plot that keeps you guessing but never cheats or feels cheap. It also asks a lot of big philosophical questions about faith and morality and such. A sleeper worth picking up!!
